One of the biggest questions writers had at my Marketing 101 workshop was: How do I approach social media? So, we decided to schedule a workshop on this topic.

Social Media 101 & Twitter workshop

Hosted by Ottawa Writer’s Circle, myself and fellow-writer, Amelinda Bérubé will take an in-depth look at the role of social media for writers. I’ll broach the hot potato questions like:

  • Do I really need to have a social media presence?
  • How do I decide which platform is right for me?
  • Do I have to be self-promotional?
  • What is my next step?

Then, Amelinda will take us on a deep dive into Twitter. Don’t worry if you don’t have a Twitter account; she’ll walk you through how to set one up. This interactive part of the workshop will cover everything from your profile, to the mechanics of Twitter, to the treasure chest of opportunities available, to the dos and don’ts of Twitter etiquette.

You’ll leave with a strategic understanding of the role of social media in your marketing toolkit, and some invaluable insights into one of the leading social media platforms for writers.

What are your burning questions about social media? Message me before the workshop and I’ll be sure to include them.
