Set goals based on where you’re at
Sounds simple, but that’s my take-away from NaNoWriMo, which I shared with my friends at the SCBWI Canada East blog. It applies to marketing as much as it does to writing. The thing is, sometimes we get intimidated by what other people are doing and we make the mistake of adopting their goals, telling ourselves it must be the right thing because everyone else is doing it. But what if we need a different milestone for this stage in our career? That was one take-away from NaNo this year. Hope it helps in your marketing planning as well as your writing!
